We are from New Orleans and relocated to Wake Forest after Katrina. Our neighbors from Folsom, LA told us about Batistella's. We tried it and it is FABULOUS! We had the Fried Oyster Ceasar Salad, Seafood Gumbo and Shrimp Po'Boy and it was absolutely delicious. We couldn't stop there and got the Bread Pudding for dessert - YUM! We got the chance to meet and talk to Chef Brian and his Mom and it was like seeing old friends. We will definitely be back and look forward to Batistella's getting us Yats together for a real New Orleans meal. Merci Beaucoup!

We've been back - several times, I might add - each visit was as splendid as the first. I took my brother and his wife (both New Orleans' natives relocated to CT) and they "licked their plates clean". They made it back just before the restaurant closed and were as sad as we were to hear of the closure. But now, it's reopened and Joe and Barb are coming to visit in a week and we'll make it a foursome again. If you haven't been, you don't know what you're missing.
