As many of the posters, we used to live in NOLA. I grew up in Florida, but my father is from NOLA and so I grew up with gumbo and other Louisiana specialties.
Battistellas was everything I hoped it would be. No kidding- I did not know about this place til I happened to pass it a couple days ago. The day before that I was saying how badly I was craving a roast beef po-boy (the real kind with gravy, etc) and here I had one. It was perfection!
The gumbo was awesome too. My husband had the crawfish jambalaya. He loved it. The bread pudding was the best we've ever had. Need I say more. We absolutely will be back!
