I stumbled onto Louise's while reading a review of Cajun Charlie's. The review recommended Louise's and the reviewer was a native New Orleanian. Being a native New Orleanian myself, this was just what I was looking for. I had a cup of Seafood Gumbo and a Roast Beef PoBoy. My wife had a Shrimp PoBoy. We though we were back in New Orleans and one of the mam and pop PoBoy restaurants. Louise's is primarily a take-out and catering service but does have picnic benches outside where you can eat if you decide to. Please do not let this turn you off as the experience of genuine New Orleans food is worth the drive. Hopefully Louise's will expand into a sit down restaurant in the future and show Cajun Charlie's, Tony's Bourbon Street, and other imposters what great value and great taste New Orleans food is all about.
